In the past, or precisely since Neymar moved to Europe to play football, the player’s birthday party has always attracted the attention of the public and the media.

 Luxury is the word that most fully describes Neymar’s New Year party. Guests of up to 500 people are required to dress up in the theme of the party, the venue is a luxury hotel with a menu filled with expensive dishes and fine wines.

Four days before Neymar’s birthday, PSG welcomed Montpellier and just one day after his birthday, the Paris team had a trip to Nantes’ field. Furthermore, Neymar’s birthday party is only 13 days away from the match against Dortmund in the Champions League. 

Because of the club’s schedule, Neymar did not want his birthday party to be a distraction. The Brazilian player planned to inform the team’s leadership about his intention not to hold a party as well as invite sponsors to organize the party as before.
But, it’s all just rumours.

Two days before the match between PSG and Nantes, Neymar dressed in white from head to toe, appeared in front of the YoYo nightclub located right next to the famous Eiffel Tower. Following Neymar are teammates at PSG such as Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria, Mauro Icardi, Marco Verratti… All of them wore white clothes to attend Neymar’s “white gala” birthday party.

Despite the internal tensions at PSG as well as the warning statement of coach Thomas Tuchel, Neymar still celebrated his birthday party in his own style. Held from around 20:00 on the night of February 3, Neymar’s birthday party lasted until dawn the next morning.

No members of the PSG coaching staff attended this party.

The Brazilian striker wore a white tree and a white hat to the famous nightclub near the Eiffel Tower where an early birthday party was held.

The famous superstar who takes care of his appearance holds a grand birthday party every year. Last year, the PSG striker held a red dinner to welcome the new age.

At Neymar’s birthday this year, guests were also asked to wear white to match the party theme. Neymar’s new birthday party made coach Thomas Tuchel unhappy because it took place just two days before the match against Nantes even though the Parisian team was leading Ligue 1 with 55 points, 12 points ahead of second-placed Marseille.

Argentine striker Mauro Icardi stood out in a white suit on a rainy day in Paris when he attended Neymar’s party.

Icardi’s wife Wanda Nara was also invited to attend. On her personal page, the beauty of 5 children posted photos of Neymar’s gorgeous clothes and makeup to the party.

Striker Edinson Cavani smiled and waved to fans on the way to Yoyo nightclub.

Cavani and his girlfriend wore matching white clothes at the request of the party owner.

Midfielder Leandro Paredes was one of the early arrivals. The Argentinian star put his wife Camila on the shoulder to the party.

Birthdays and trauma

A strange thing happened the very next day. On the afternoon of February 4, PSG and coach Thomas Tuchel announced: “Neymar hurt his ribs after he celebrated his birthday party, so he could not play in the match against Nantes in the 23rd round of Ligue 1.” According to the schedule, the match PSG against Nantes takes place at 3:05 today 5/2.

“I don’t know exactly how it happened, but the circumstances of preparing for a match like this are terrible. Of course it’s not that bad, I have to adapt to the situation. But it’s clearly not cool at all. I always protect the players, and love the club I work for. But this story (players party and can’t play) will certainly be scrutinized and say bad things about the team. This is very unfortunate. I can’t force players to be like this, they go home and party so they can’t control it,” coach Tuchel expressed annoyance in the press room.

Neymar’s injury surprised the public. Before that, in the match PSG beat Montpellier 5-0, Neymar played the full 90 minutes and was completely healthy.

Having injury information is just an excuse for PSG to remove Neymar from the squad. Because besides Neymar, other PSG players participating in the party such as Icardi, Cavani, Di Maria, Verratti … are not sure to play the match against Nantes. Coach Tuchel hinted that these players can completely sit on the bench.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Neymar has been injured on his birthday. In 2018 and 2019, the Brazilian player also announced an injury right before his birthday.
